Partner Archiware - experts in professional data management software - has released version 7.3 of the popular P5 platform. The German backup enthusiasts are once again delivering additional new functions that significantly improve work processes and resource management in companies.
These include optimised control of archiving jobs and accelerated data throughput. The new version focuses on the extended control of archiving jobs.
- Archive and restore jobs can be paused via the ‘Parking Queue’ until an administrator releases them. This allows for more flexible planning and better utilisation of resources.
- Saved Selections’ are also available - saved file selections that facilitate targeted archiving and restoration of large amounts of data.
- Improvements in the JobLog area allow job details to be exported directly from the web interface, which simplifies reporting.
- A new search field also makes it easier to find completed jobs quickly. Additional efficiency is provided by the volume inventory, which enables job execution depending on the data carrier and provides a detailed overview of the file structure.
Integration with external systems has also been expanded: The updated S3 Object Archive improves collaboration with media systems and increases the speed of cloud and hard drive access.
P5 version 7.3 is available as an upgrade and as a free 30-day trial version on the Archiware website.
