Functions and improvements in P5 version 7.4
Archiware will soon be releasing a new P5 version 7.4! It is packed with new features that improve data management, security and efficiency.
One highlight is the updated dashboard, which enables real-time monitoring of backups, archiving and synchronization. You can even customize the time period and layout of the charts, making it much easier to monitor large systems.
The P5 Data Mover becomes P5 Archive DLM
The P5 Data Mover is also undergoing a transformation: in addition to its original functionality, it has been given a Verify module. This File Life Cycle Management automatically controls the entire life cycle of a file according to predefined rules.
It saves the data in up to three storage pools simultaneously and checks them regularly to detect problems at an early stage. Hence the new name P5 Archive DLM. Existing customers will automatically receive these functions with their upgrade.
And the best part? There is a 40% discount on P5 Archive DLM until the end of 2025!
Other improvements include LTO volume cloning for more redundancy, improved preview generation across multiple clients and better cloud synchronization.
