Infortrend storage systems with 24G SAS

The EonStor GS 5090 guarantees uninterrupted operation as a high-availability unified storage solution with a dual redundant controller. With its Intel Xeon CPU, the GS 5090 offers high performance with 45 GB/s read and 20 GB/s write speed, which is around three times faster than the previous top model.

With a maximum of 200 GbE, the GS 5090 sets new standards in terms of transmission speed. But the new Infortrend Storages are not only particularly fast in the local network, they also exchange data with each other at 24 Gbps via SAS - 24G for short. This doubles the throughput compared to conventional 12G SAS. As a large 90-bay model, the GS 5090 also has four dedicated U.2 NVMe SSD slots for the cache. Infortrend also enables fast data access.

Also 24G via HBA or RAID controller to the JB 490

Seamless scalability is not only offered by the combination of GS 5090 and the new JB 4090 expansion enclosure, Starline can also supply the sister model JB490. This also allows servers to be docked and expanded using HBA and RAID controllers with 24G.

Finally, the engineers can process large amounts of data more efficiently with the improved throughput performance - more than two petabytes can be provided in the 4U 90-bay JBOD alone.
