The Areca ARC-1203-2N NVMe Native RAID Host Adapter is the perfect solution for those who require a high level of performance and fault tolerance through data mirroring and therefore maximum protection.
The NVMe RAID adapter is ideal for SSD boot applications, as it automatically protects operating system and recovery data in the system by mirroring. It has a powerful 1066 MHz memory processor, 512 MB DDR3-1066 SDRAM and two PCIe 2.0 x1 M2 ports. This dual-port RAID solution offers a cost-effective option for equipping servers and workstations with a fully functional hardware RAID.

Unsurpassed data availability
These adapters have their own RAID processor and a dedicated onboard cache to handle all RAID processing on a hardware basis. The ability of hardware RAID controllers to rebuild an array in the event of a drive failure is clearly superior to software RAID solutions.
The Areca ARC-1203-2N RAID adapter can handle RAID levels 0, 1, single disc and JBOD for the necessary flexibility in use. An integrated supercapacitor provides the necessary security during storage and also supplies the energy to maintain the status of the error LEDs. This allows the administrator to easily identify a failed drive.
As usual, Areca engineers have equipped the controller with a redundant flash image function. This allows it to revert to the last known firmware version should a firmware update go wrong.
Maximum interoperability
The ARC-1203-2N is compatible with native OS NVMe host drivers. It also supports Areca SAS/SATA device drivers for a variety of operating systems, including Windows, RedHat Linux, SuSE Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and many more. Of course, it also comes with important system monitoring functions such as SMTP and SNMP.
Simple administration
Areca's proven McBIOS RAID Tool simplifies the configuration and management of the RAID adapter. Users can also configure, deploy, update and monitor the ARC-1203-2N via the GUI or CLI utility without the need for an agent.
In addition, the Areca ArcSAP Storage Manager allows users to scan multiple RAID units on the network and perform GUI management operations for multiple RAID units.
