StorMagic introduces HCI solution for edge and SMB environments
Following the acquisition of VMware by Broadcom, the market for hyperconverged solutions is on the move. Time for StorMagic SvHCI
StorMagic simplifies operation
Starline partner StorMagic, a specialist in Software Defined Storage (SDS), announces the new SvHCI. SvHCI is a hyperconverged solution that combines a hypervisor and virtual networks with StorMagic's proven virtual storage technology SvSAN, which is used by thousands of customers.
Just like SvSAN, StorMagic SvHCI simplifies operations and provides high availability for edge and SMB environments with just two servers. The new hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution was developed specifically for edge environments and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
SvSAN forms the basis of the new complete solution. However, in order to achieve high availability with SvSAN, a hypervisor from VMware or Microsoft is currently still required.
SvHCI aims to change that, as this software solution can be installed directly on new or existing servers and comes with a KVM-based hypervisor, an advanced virtual network and SvSAN as the storage software layer.
StorMagic SvHCI offers up to 62 per cent savings over VMware. In addition, StorMagic SvHCI includes 24x7x365 customer support.
