Now in its fourth generation, Areca's new ARC-1886 family impresses with increased performance and enhanced enterprise data protection. The RAID controllers in this series have been equipped with a 1.6 GHz dual-core ROC processor, feature eight gigabytes of DDR4-2666 memory and operate exceptionally effectively on the fast PCIe 4.0 bus.
With their flexible application range - they offer storage interfaces to 12 Gbit/s SAS and SATA as well as PCIe (NVMe) - the tri-mode adapters are the ideal solution for the most performance-hungry database and IT applications.
The low-profile ARC-1886-4X12I model has four external (SFF-8644 x4) and twelve internal ports (2x SFF-8654 x8) built-in and also features - like all RAID controllers in the series - an out-of-band LAN port.
