The ARC-8088 family supports a flexible interface configuration with 8x 12Gbit/s SAS, 2/4x 16Gbit/s FC or 2x 10 Gbit/s iSCSI ports. The system can also be expanded to 256 drives via 4x 12 Gbit/s SAS expansion ports. The external RAID controllers are thus an ideal solution for enterprise-class storage applications that require maximum flexibility in expansion. 12, 16 or 24 drives with 12 Gbit/s SAS or 6 Gbit/s SATA can be managed in model variants. More bring a redundant controller for fault-tolerant connections via separate host interfaces, while the Single model offers a single, end-to-end data path.
