The NetStor NA338TB3 is a 2U enclosure for mounting a Mac mini, three 3 PCIe slots and 16 SFF drives. The SAS/SATA enclosure is ideal when there is no space available in the Mac, server or workstation, but PCIe slots and high storage capacity are still needed.The built-in Mac mini connects to the enclosure via a Thunderbolt cable. The three available PCIe slots - full length - are compatible with popular video editing cards such as those from BlackMagic, Matrox, AJA, or RED.A pre-installed 12 Gbps SAS RAID controller from Areca provides high data transfer rates to the drives, enabling 4K video editing, recording, and other applications. The controller is also equipped with an external miniSAS x4 HD expansion port that provides additional storage capacity via JBODs if needed.
