Active-active acceleration
Using InfiniBand in the company network
InfiniBand: Components with direct wire to the memory core
If you are looking for a high performance, low latency transmission technology, you have come to the right place. InfiniBand has a heart for CPUs and writes directly to RAM.
InfiniBand provides a powerful architecture to improve I/O connectivity, ranging from bus systems to network connections up to 200 Gbps. It is particularly suitable for data centers where only short distances have to be bridged but low latencies are required. A typical use case is an interlink connection in an active-active cluster or between servers and mass storage devices.
Fast InfiniBand components for you
InfiniBand achieves the fast response time by swapping out the protocol stack to the network hardware. A further advantage: Since this standard masters RDMA, it can deliver its data particularly fast via the bus and relieve the server’s CPU.
Nodes are connected by special InfiniBand cables and switches. The network cards are called HCAs (Host Channel Adapters).
Your advantages with Starline:
- Low latencies
- High transmission rate
- Ideal for data centers
- Supports QoS

Our InfiniBand Categories
The adapters provide bi-directional point-to-point InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity with extremely low response time.
Highest fabric performance with terabytes of non-blocking bandwidth and latency well below one microsecond.
InfiniBand accessories: Copper cables (DAC), optical fibers (AOC), splitters and optical transceivers.
Your benefits
Starline quality
We can offer you coherent alternatives in every storage category and are able to fulfill almost all product wishes.
You will receive skilled technical advice from Starline - by e-mail, telephone and, if required, via remote support.
We are committed only to you - the customer - and therefore always offer the best solution for you.
Our role
Rely on tested quality
Our employees are at your side: From the beginning you will receive detailed advice from personal contact persons. They are available as well as our technical support five days a week. We even offer a 24x7x4 service.
From service contracts and customs clearance to financing models – we offer everything from one source.
Starline mainly sells to resellers. That is, system houses that install these systems at a customer's premises or resell them.
Of course, we can also offer you each component separately. Among the ready-made systems, the offer starts with a 4-bay RAID system and a small server also equipped with four drives.
Counter question: How many do you need? We have NAS systems in all sizes and installation variants: Starting with a low-cost open source version up to a highly available twin system.
Starline supplies everything your heart desires in the server and storage sector. If you wish, we can also draw up a concept for integrating the new system into your existing network and supervise the installation. Detailed documentation after completion of the work is also part of our services.
But secure! This request is tailor-made for our Enterprise Storage Solutions department. Here, solutions are developed daily and tailored to special requests. Our experts will be happy to advise you. If necessary, in a three-way conference with your customer. If necessary, we can even organise a try&buy or a test set-up to find out what the problem is. You are also always welcome to attend one of our workshops. Here, the systems are presented in detail and you can ask questions at any time.
You always get the respective state of the art at Starline. Among the NVMe solutions, everything is available from the simple SSD in M.2 format to PCIe slot memory.
The available certifications are indicated on the respective product pages and in our data sheets. However, you can also view all Starline systems with certification independently in the VMware Compatibility Guide.
Can be organised. For a contribution towards costs, we will send you the targeted system for four weeks. This gives you time for a detailed test.
