Single drives (LTO HH internal/external) from Overland-Tandberg allow small and medium-sized companies to back up enormous amounts of data. Installed in workstations or servers, they thus form an ideal backup and archiving solution. As one of the most durable data carriers in the digital world, the established LTO technology offers safe offline storage of the high-capacity tapes. The current LTO-8 standard, for example, can store 12 TB of already compressed data. In the case of texts or uncompressed files, even 30 TB can be archived with a speed of on it. Thanks to its modern Linear Tape File System (LTFS), the access and read speeds are also comparatively fast. With up to 900 MB/s, an LTO drive reads the data of a tape and LTFS makes navigating on it as comfortable as on a large hard disk.
