Servers from the current series are based on a well thought-out overall concept with an open and expandable platform that combines powerful hardware with a fail-safe cooling concept and high capacities.

Our Zealbox servers are therefore individually assembled from high-quality components for each order. Manufacturers such as Intel, AMD, Supermicro, Areca, Broadcom, QLogic and Mellanox also guarantee high reliability and quality in the end product. Their flexible design also makes it possible to adapt them to any workload: for VMware, Microsoft Windows Server (Hyper V) or Datacore Hyper-converged Virtual SAN, for example, the high-performance servers offer enough reserves to cope with peak loads.

They are therefore ideally suited for virtualisation, but also for databases, hosting or as high-availability storage. We have created a hardware platform that uses single- or dual-socket boards, depending on the application. The processors used are always the current enterprise lines from AMD and Intel, which are capable of mastering the tasks assigned to them.

A suitably dimensioned main memory, protected controllers and fast interface cards are just as much a part of the product line as the enclosure variants selected as required. With up to four height units, they offer a multitude of possible expansion stages.

A server of the finest

In a Zealbox Z50, your virtualisation is at its best.

The Z50 hardware platform is based on single- or dual-socket boards from Intel. In addition to significantly lower power consumption, this processor generation also offers considerable advantages in terms of performance.

In combination with the up to four terabytes of RAM that can be inserted into the 16 memory banks of the Supermicro motherboard, there should be no performance bottlenecks in the near future. In the seven different enclosure variants from two to four height units, our Z50 servers offer space for 8 to 36 SFF and/or LFF drives.

Optionally, individual models can be equipped with two additional drives or with four fast NVMe drives. The mainboard also has connections for two SATA DOMs and an M.2 PCIe slot. Even backup options via RDX removable disks or LTO tape drives can be realised.

The servers can be commissioned without any further installation effort - depending on the selection, Microsoft Windows Server or VMware vSphere is completely pre-installed and the hardware is adapted to it. In the event of an error, the systems can be put back into operation in a very short time using the enclosed recovery USB stick.

In the 2U GPU server ESC4000 G4 with Intel processors from the Xeon family, four double-deck GPU cards do the actual floating-point computing work. Its RAID mass storage with eight LFF SATA hard disk bays, the redundant power supplies and its 8+3 PCIe slots complete the coherent equipment list. The fast server offers terrific computing performance, enormous scalability and high energy efficiency.High-density computing is specifically designed to fit more computing power into one rack. The two-rack ESC4000 G4 easily does this by accommodating up to four GPUs for extremely high power density. The ESC4000 G4 supports up to eight PCIe Gen3 x16 slots. This results in high expandability and great compatibility with many expansion cards. Thus, the server works with a large number of GPU cards (NVIDIA Tesla, GridTM and AMD FirePro S series). In addition, there is also a PCIe Gen3 x 24 slot, which can also fit two low-profile HBAs or proprietary network cards with FDR and 10 GbE interface by means of a riser board.

Ceph is a distributed open source SDS system that provides access to object, block and file storage. Ambedded's server lineup combines these capabilities in the specially developed Mars 400 appliance. The Ambedded developers have taken a new approach and have virtually emulated the Ceph architecture with hardware. In this way, they created servers that are optimally adapted to Ceph, while at the same time operating extremely economically with their ARM processors. Each CPU is assigned an SSD or HDD and thus forms an independent microserver. As many as eight of these micro servers operate in a 1U appliance from Ambedded. Thus, with this efficient technology, it is possible that an HA cluster with 21 hard disks, 24 SSDs and 24 processors on 3U requires less than 400 watts of power.

With Zealbox Z80 to a highly available appliance

Our Zealbox servers from the Z80 series rely on AMD high-performance processors in a robust Supermicro chassis. This server family shines with an extremely large memory bandwidth (up to 340 Gbit/s), excellent I/O performance and a high number of CPU cores.

The enterprise mainboards from Supermicro's H11 series with dual socket enterprise processors from the AMD EPYC family installed on them serve as the hardware basis.

This results in a very high performance density, as this combination sets standards in all respects. In the ten different housing variants, from one to four height units, the Z80 servers offer space for 4 to 36 SFF and/or LFF drives. In several Zealbox models, U.2 NVMe drives can also be used for user data. Special, easily accessible drive drawers are built in for this purpose.

The Z80 servers are suitable for virtualisation, cloud computing, hyper-converged storage or simply as high-end enterprise servers.

With Starline you are not on the proverbial hook once you have bought something. Starline is an independent medium-sized company that produces servers and storage systems in Germany. Our suppliers - from cables to screws to SSDs - have to undergo internal benchmarking by our technicians and are only included in the programme when their performance is beyond doubt. We also rely on cross-manufacturer standards and not on isolated solutions. Moreover, all systems assembled by us are put through their paces before they leave our premises. And last but not least: We look after you whenever you wish - for example, by providing free advice before the purchase and free technical support afterwards.
