TrueNAS/FreeNAS and Archiware P5 cleverly combined
We provide you with an all-in-one option with LTO through the mature backup concept of Archiware P5. This is how we flexibly protect you: on disk, tape or cloud.
Our development department has designed inexpensive network storage based on TrueNAS/FreeNAS, which harmonises perfectly with the data management suite P5 from Archiware.
The attractively priced FreeNAS product line thus also works as a backup server. RDX drives, entire LTO tape libraries or a cloud connection can be flexibly used to secure valuable company data.
Since FreeNAS itself already offers great potential in terms of data security through the ingenious ZFS file system and snapshots functions, our FreeNAS installations merge into true storage bastions.
With additional plug-ins, they can also be expanded modularly: For example, third-party plug-ins enable media streaming, alternative protocols or various web applications.
Solid Supermicro servers serve as the hardware platform in the rackmount area. They are always assembled according to the individual needs of the customer and assembled on site in Kirchheim unter Teck. The number of drives, equipment and interfaces are freely selectable.

TrueNAS FreeNAS Backup in detail: Backup and restore
The enterprise-level backup solution is tough: bundled with Archiware P5, our FreeNAS solutions back up to external disks, durable LTO tapes or conveniently to the cloud. The successful plugin runs in the background on the FreeNAS server and offers options such as filtering by data type, incremental backups and cloning.
For LTO users, Archiware has also integrated the LTFS format so that tapes can be read independently of P5. No software is therefore required for the transfer of large amounts of data via LTO tape. Of course LTFS tapes can also be read and imported by Archiware P5.
Long-term archiving is also possible with P5 Archive from the TrueNAS/FreeNAS device. Flexible metadata fields, media previews and proxy clips are ideal for archives with a lot of media data.
Furthermore, the P5 Companion App that runs on the workstation allows you to archive and restore data simply by drag’n’drop. The only requirement: a Windows, Mac or Linux operating system.
