One product family in many forms: Our NASdeluxe series is available from single systems to metro clusters.
With NASdeluxe, the name says it all: Our developers have brought together the crème de la crème in the field of hardware to design top-class network storage.
That's why the product managers always take resilient user scenarios as a basis and design NAS servers based on them in different classes and with different operating systems. Moreover, NASdeluxe network storages consist of solid x86 hardware in industrial quality. However, depending on the requirements, they are based on four different storage operating systems:

Within these four families there are in turn up to ten size classes, which differ in drive equipment and number, computing power and interface equipment. Not included in this listing are our associated JBODs from NASdeluxe, which ultimately provide additional capacity.

Since our systems are assembled to fit the application, they also cover a tremendously wide range of applications: They can be used, for example, in virtualization and VDI, with databases, in media streaming, for backups and many other fields.

NDL-5000R/W NAS Systems - The Windows Family
NASdeluxe NDL-5000R/W form a Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2019 based and dedicated file server optimized by us for reliability. We have developed the series specifically in the field of storage networks and calculated economically.
Microsoft operating systems are recommended wherever close integration with existing environments must be ensured so that uniform administration is possible. Storage solutions set up in this way can therefore be integrated immediately into a Windows domain and managed with the tools commonly used there - such as PowerShell. The Microsoft operating system's industry-renowned strengths in virtualization and containers are further extended by Windows Storage Server 2019 with other enhancements such as Storage Spaces Direct, Azure Backup and many more.

NAS systems from the NDL-5000R/Z family with JovianDSS
The NASdeluxe 5000 Z-series based on the Open-E storage operating system JovianDSS, forms a software-defined storage solution that has been developed over many years. The 5000 Z-Series developed by us can be scaled accordingly for requirements in the SMB area up to enterprise customers. It therefore combines all the necessary functionalities and components that are essential at enterprise level.
A major strength of JovianDSS is On- & Off-Site Data Protection - a strategy for storage, backup, disaster recovery and, if necessary, archiving. This enables immediate recovery of critical enterprise data after a total failure. Consistent snapshots of selected resources and asynchronous replication to other sites can thus be used.

NDL-5000R/L Family NAS Systems with DSS V7
NASdeluxe's NDL-5000R/L family of NAS servers are unified storage systems that offer powerful data protection, both individually and in clusters. They offer servers block-based storage via iSCSI or Fibre Channel, and clients file-based storage via NFS and/or CIFS/SMB.
The Open-E DSS V7 storage operating system enables the formation of iSCSI and NFS clusters with failover even in active-active mode. Finally, the performance of both cluster nodes is available.

Powerful open source solution in enterprise gear
NDL-5000R/F Family NAS Systems with TrueNAS (FreeNAS)
The successful F-Series from NASdeluxe works with the free storage operating system TrueNAS (FreeNAS), which brings a lot of advantages. For example, the platform-independent design allows access via many protocols such as SMB/CIFS, NFS, AFP, FTP, iSCSI and WebDAV.
The grandiose ZFS file system might be even more highly weighted, since RAID protection has been incorporated there, so to speak. For example, ZFS snapshots can also be used to create remote backups, since replicating snapshots to a remote ZFS file system creates a complete duplicate. In addition, ZFS volumes are protected by advanced AES-XTS encryption.
