NVMe SSDs, because of their extremely high transfer rates and IO performance, require special models that can meet these challenges. We have mirror controllers and GPU-based RAID controllers designed specifically for NVMe technology.

 

GPU and SSD performance combined

GPU-powered technology, for example, takes servers to entirely new performance peaks. Finally, administrators can completely reserve their CPUs for applications or devote them entirely to their main task. The controller takes over the entire IO processing and the necessary RAID calculations within the system. The advantage: productivity increases and costs are reduced.

The RAID modes are easily selected via the command line. Thanks to the NVIDIA graphics processor, these operations are performed within seconds.

The NVMe SSDs are simply inserted into the NVMe enclosure. Internal cabling to the RAID controller is therefore not required. All drives communicate directly with the system via the PCIe bus.

The entry-level Areca RAID controller is equipped with integrated storage processors that enable true hardware RAID. It has its own local RAID processor and a dedicated onboard cache to handle all RAID processing on a hardware basis.

The NVMe RAID adapter also has a powerful 1066 MHz memory processor, DDR3-1066 memory architecture and two PCIe 2.0 x1 M.2 ports (suitable for 2280 and 22110 SSDs). It therefore supports 512 MB DDR3-1066 SDRAM memory as standard. As a 2-port M.2 NVMe RAID solution for desktop servers and workstations, the ARC-1203-2N offers fully functional hardware RAID. Who do you supply?

Starline mainly sells to resellers. That is, system houses that install these systems at a customer's premises or resell them.

Do you also have small and affordable solutions?

Of course, we can also offer you each component separately. Among the ready-made systems, the offer starts with a 4-bay RAID system and a small server also equipped with four drives.

Do you have NAS systems?

Counter question: How many do you need? We have NAS systems in all sizes and installation variants: Starting with a low-cost open source version up to a highly available twin system.

Does Starline supply complete solutions?

Starline supplies everything your heart desires in the server and storage sector. If you wish, we can also draw up a concept for integrating the new system into your existing network and supervise the installation. Detailed documentation after completion of the work is also part of our services.

I have a more complex request from a client, can you help?

But secure! This request is tailor-made for our Enterprise Storage Solutions department. Here, solutions are developed daily and tailored to special requests. Our experts will be happy to advise you. Which NVME solutions do you have in your programme?

You always get the respective state of the art at Starline. Among the NVMe solutions, everything is available from the simple SSD in M.2 format to PCIe slot memory.

Are your systems VMware certified?

The available certifications are indicated on the respective product pages and in our data sheets. However, you can also view all Starline systems with certification independently in the VMware Compatibility Guide.

 

I would like to test the offered device beforehand?

Can be organised. For a contribution towards costs, we will send you the targeted system for four weeks. This gives you time for a detailed test.
