Important parameters are transactions per second, requests per second (RPS) or query throughput (QthD). Queries per second (QPS) is often used synonymously with RPS as a measure of the amount of search traffic an IT system such as a database receives.
Especially systems with high data traffic should be monitored in terms of QPS or RPS in order to understand when scaling is necessary. This way, the administrator can roughly predict whether the system can handle the higher load. Either way, we have an optimal setup for every individual case and wish.
