Single drives (LTO HH internal/external) from Overland-Tandberg allow small and medium-sized companies to back up enormous amounts of data. When installed in workstations or servers, they form an ideal backup and archiving solution. As one of the most durable data carriers in the digital world, the established LTO technology offers safe offline storage of the high-capacity tapes.
The current LTO-9 standard, for example, can store 18 TB of already compressed data. In the case of text or uncompressed files, even 45 TB can be archived on it. Thanks to its modern linear tape file system (LTFS), access and read speeds are also comparatively fast. With up to 1000 MB/s an LTO drive reads the data of a tape and due to LTFS the navigation on it is as comfortable as on a large hard disk.
